Current version supports 2 players for each campaign: a creator and a challenger, who play the campaign by following steps: 1. Create a Campaign: The creator clicks on the global map to set desired theatre position. As shown above, the Theatre Outter Edge, 1000km by 1000km, is the edge of the theatre, the map area outside of which does not show during the campaign. The area inside the Theatre Inner Edge, called Stage, is the effective area which should be defended by the patrons during a Compitiion Campaign, which patrons fight for occupying as much as possible rival's stage. Another type of campaign is called Research Campaign, in which patrons negotiate a winning rule. 2. Accept a Challenger: Once the campaign is created and published in the Sand Table Rooms, the creator waits for a visitor to join the campaign and accept him as the challenger. 3. Select Territory: The theatre is splited in to two, Zone 1 and Zone 2, by a Divider line running accross the center of the theatre. It is the challenger's right to select one of them as his territory, the other then belongs to the creator. Therefore, for his own benefit, the creator must create a "fair" theatre by putting it at proper position on the planet and adjusting the Divider line. In a Compition Campaign, the patron should protect his part of stage from opposite ocuppation and the rest area outside the stage is not calculated into the result. 4. Select Country and Units: The patrons select units from one country to establish his joint force for this campaign. 5. Deploy Units: Before the campaign begins, the patron should deploy all his units into the theatre. In a Compition Campaign, he can only deploy the units into his own territory. In a Research Campaign, however, the patrons are allowed to deploy the units into any "fair" position in the theatre, in order to simulate the initial status of a campaign, for research and practice purpose. 6. Start the Campaign: Once both side finished deploying, the campaign automatically starts. The patrons command their troops into engagement by defining various air missions, naval operations and land maneuvers. The units will fire if the targets are in effective range, and result is automatically calculated based on unit status, weapon, ammunition, terrain, land cover and other parameters. 7. End the Campaign: The campaign won't end unless one patron surrender. If needed, the create can pause the current campaign and save data after negotiating with the challenger a future time to continue this campaign. In a Compitition Campaign, the sytem shows the stage occuption statistics in real-time, a good reference for the patrons to consider when to surrender.
